Life.

I like it. (: I do.

I went this morning to C3 (well, of course I did! where else would I be? haha) & it was sweeet. The message was amazing. I love my church, God wants me there, He does. Going to Rushton's youth group tonight made me realize it even more. I love their youth group - they are going to do such great, amazing things! They really are. They are raw, they are real, they are willing to be radical. It was amazing. It was like a Bible Study. Us talking to Thomas and he talking to us. Thomas is an amazing speaker, he made me think so much, and he didn't talk down to us. He talked to us like equals. It made me joyful at what God was doing with them. For a second I sorta wished I could go there, but then I realized that God wants me at Epic. I'm excited about what God's going to do with Epic. What God's going to do with Underground. It made me realize we are on the same team. In the beginning Thomas made us just have God time while he played 'Glorious' by David Crowder. I prayed that He would open my eyes to what He wanted me to learn that night and as I was praying it was like God was telling me that we as epic and underground are for the same goal. Underground just seems like on a different page kinda sorta. Scott seems totally for reaching the lost right now - and that's where we should be. So the sermons are really not for us, they are for the lost, the lost that we are supposed to be bringing. Small groups are the ones that are for us to grow closer together and closer to God. Underground is at a different page. They are smaller in number (which I love) so it really is more like a small group. It's pretty great, there's more freedom for feedback with Thomas & more one on one time. And more than anything they are for exposing the Gospel(what I picked up loud and clear :)). They are about building up Disciples at their youth group. That is their small group & their youth group. I can see them growing in huge numbers. I can see epic growing in huge numbers if we step up.

So many times I feel like different churches or different donominations feel superior or in a different place then other churches. Yes, they may be at a different page, but they are not in a different book. Except if their cause isn't to reach the lost (and I know I've used the words 'to save/reach the lost' about a million times and it seems kinda..I dunno, odd to me, but yall know what I mean). Then in that case, they are in a differnt book: a dry, discontent, non-growing book. Joe was telling me about an idea he had a while back about a senior project. About having all different kinds of churches come together and organize something, anything. I love that idea. Different churches comming together. Working together. Putting aside their differences and realizing they are for the same cause. That our mission on this earth is to love God with all our hearts, minds, bodies, and souls, and make Christ known - His amazing, unchangable, love. It would be kinda cool to see that. I know c3's taken a lot of heat from other churches, people still give me weird looks if I mention the new building. But wouldn't it be amazing if we took a step back and realized that this isn't about us? This is about Christ. Bottom line. This is about making Christ known to those that don't know Him. Yes, we built a new building, but this new building is not about us. This is all for Christ. All of it. Entirely. This is a mission. This is a cause. And I hope we can grasp it. Grasp it enough to grab a hold of it, to reach out, and to be different. Different enough to be captivating to people. To love. To be bold. To reach out. To bring justice. To build frienships. We are all in the same book, it's time to start acting like it. (:

But I'm bummed as well that I missed Dedication tonight! I bet it was amaaazing as well! (:
