Just a little something about the journey

Something I learned through the years: if you have to constantly talk about how Christ is all you need, He may not be. Being whole and content doesn't mean you never feel like things suck, it just means it doesn't define who you are. Don't hide your hurt behind a wall named God like I did for so many years but instead, tear down the wall so the real God can restore you into wholeness. Head knowledge must become heart knowledge even though it may hurt.

And the process may take longer than you think it should.  The journey through the desert may seem longer than you were anticipating.  Your old familiar walls may start to form again but you must resist.  Kryptonites might show themselves when you're starting to feel content but you must understand them for what they are and ask Him to fix the root.  You must feel and continue to call on the real God to fix the broken pieces and attachments even if you don't know how yourself.

A person who has been with God radiates wholeness.  It doesn't have to be mustered up with words or silly Christianese sayings to reassure ourselves and others that we are okay.  It just is and it just shows.  Being transparent and vulnerable is a beautiful thing because there is freedom in knowing we're all a little broken and we're all in the process of restoration.
